Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food or patient service is preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly with diverse groups
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutrition care plans
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Capability to lift and carry meal trays safely
  • Adherence to infection control and facility policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in patient service or food service preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff
  • Knowledge of nutrition care and meal service protocols
  • Strong teamwork and customer service skills
  • Capability to perform minor food preparation tasks

Job Duties

  • Prepare, deliver and pick up patient meal trays
  • Assist patients with meal selections in accordance with nutrition care orders
  • Communicate patient food preferences to the food service department
  • Collaborate with patient care teams for patients in isolation or those unable to complete menus
  • Perform minor food preparation and portioning tasks
  • Transport patient trays following facility procedures
  • Deliver therapeutic nourishment to patients
