Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 2 years call center experience or 2 years food service with one year of healthcare food services experience preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service, must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Demonstrates critical thinking by making sound judgments while quickly processing information, problem solving and prioritizing needs appropriately
  • Must have basic computing skills and basic math skills
  • Must maintain Serv Safe certified or attain certification within 6 months of hire if not certified at time of hire with the exception of leads who support call center operations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of call center experience or 2 years of food service experience with one year in healthcare food services preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service
  • Effective reading, writing, and communication abilities
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment skills
  • Basic computing and math skills
  • ServSafe certification or ability to attain certification within 6 months of hire except for leads supporting call center operations

Job Duties

  • Performs all food service staff level functions as needed in support of various sections in the department
  • Oversees daily shift operations of sections including patient dining services, retail, and catering operations involving cash handling, food production, inventory management, sanitation, and safety
  • Provides on the job training for new or existing dining service associates or food and nutrition associates while performing primary duties
  • Develops training competencies, schedules learning experiences, evaluates trainee performance, and reports progress to supervisors or managers
  • Models, shadows, and provides feedback during training in the actual work environment
  • Assists with software training in computer classroom settings
  • Collaborates with registered dietitians to provide training on diet modifications and permitted food items
