Job Duties
- Set up tables and banquet hall before the event
- assist with food preparation before and during the event
- serve appetizers and plated dinners to guests
- deliver food from the kitchen to the banquet hall in a timely manner
- serve and refill beverages
- assist with post-event clean up, inventory, food storage, and tear down
- set up, clean, and organize work stations
- prepare ingredients for the shift including washing vegetables, chopping, and seasoning meat
- prepare oven, utensils, and grill for shift
- take orders from wait staff or computerized system
- cook orders according to food health and safety standards
- recommend ideas for specials or seasonal dishes
- handle multiple food orders at one time
- monitor multiple food orders as new orders arrive
- store all food properly
- reorder stock and food supplies
- assist other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed
