Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Age 18 or older
  • Previous retail and/or food experience preferred but not required
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable
  • Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members
  • Effective communication skills
  • Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
  • Interpret instructions, reports and information
  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
  • Climb up and down ladders as needed
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

  • Ability to work in environments ranging from 34°F to -10°F
  • Ability to work in spaces where common allergens may be handled or present

Job Duties

  • Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement including merchandising, pricing, changes to salesfloor merchandise displays, sampling and promotions
  • Assess backroom and sales floor areas on a daily basis by walking the Target Food & Beverage Standards, prioritize business needs and identify workload tasks for the team
  • Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable
  • Maintain a fresh, full and food safe area during all operating hours leveraging strong inventory management and Food Safety policies
  • Validate and follow-up on team members' progress against assigned tasks and application of best practices
  • Work a schedule aligned to guest and business needs including early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends
  • Assign daily tasks based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns ensuring alignment with business priorities
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with vendors to ensure brand standards are met
  • Foster productive relationships with Starbucks district manager and attend required store business meetings if applicable
  • Ensure product availability by placing orders with vendors according to best practices
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant trends and products to educate team members
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new team members
  • Become a subject matter expert in adult beverage laws and protect store's liquor license
  • Lead team to uphold Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards and complete necessary training or certifications
  • Fulfill key carrying responsibilities and follow all safe and secure training and processes
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and drive-up (DU) while maintaining compliance
  • Demonstrate and lead a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Model safe behaviors, identify and correct hazards, hold team accountable to safety expectations
  • Model execution of physical security processes to enhance instore security culture
  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store
  • Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences
  • Lead a culture of executing best practices through coaching and development
  • Address all store emergency and compliance needs
  • Model creating a welcoming experience by greeting guests and engaging to solve their needs
  • Thank guests and ensure positive shopping experience
  • Perform other duties based on business needs
