Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Age 18 or older
  • Previous retail and/or food experience preferred but not required
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and technology equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
  • Effective communication skills
  • Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
  • Interpret instructions, reports and information
  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
  • Climb up and down ladders as needed
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt and regular attendance necessary
  • Ability to work in environments ranging from 34 degrees F to -10 degrees F
  • Ability to work in spaces where common allergens may be handled or present
  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity and other elements
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift

Job Duties

  • Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement, including merchandising, pricing, changes to salesfloor merchandise displays, sampling and promotions
  • Assess backroom and sales floor areas of Food & Beverage and Food Service on a daily basis by walking the Target Food & Beverage Standards
  • Prioritize business needs and identify workload tasks for the team
  • Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable
  • Maintain a fresh, full and food safe area during all operating hours leveraging inventory management and Food Safety policies
  • Deliver the Food & Beverage Standards
  • Validate and follow-up on team members' progress against assigned workload tasks
  • Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs including early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with vendors to ensure standards are met
  • Foster a productive relationship with Starbucks district manager, attend in-store planning and business meetings and follow-up on key takeaways
  • Ensure product availability for guests by placing store-initiated orders with vendors
  • Stay updated on trends and products to educate team members
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new team members
  • Become a subject matter expert in federal, state and local adult beverage laws to protect store's liquor license
  • Lead the team to uphold Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards and foster vendor relationships
  • Complete all required training and certifications including Food Safety Manager Certification
  • Fulfill key carrying responsibilities and follow all safety and security training
  • Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pick up and Drive-up maintaining compliance
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance and hold team accountable
  • Lead and demonstrate a safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors
  • Model the execution of physical security processes
  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the store
  • Demonstrate inclusivity and lead a culture of best practices
  • Address all store emergency and compliance needs
  • Create a welcoming guest experience by engaging and assisting guests
  • Thank guests and promote positive guest relationships
  • Perform other duties based on business needs
