Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Age 18 or older
  • Previous retail and/or food experience preferred but not required
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable
  • Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members
  • Effective communication skills
  • Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
  • Interpret instructions, reports and information
  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
  • Climb up and down ladders as needed
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt regular attendance necessary
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 34F to -10F
  • Ability to work in environments with common allergens
  • Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements
  • Ability to remain mobile for duration of scheduled shift

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily and weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement including merchandising, pricing, sales floor changes, sampling and promotions
  • Assess backroom and sales floor areas daily by walking Target Food & Beverage Standards and prioritize tasks for the team
  • Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable
  • Maintain a fresh, full and food safe area using inventory management and food safety policies
  • Deliver and validate progress against the Food & Beverage Standards
  • Work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends
  • Assign daily tasks based on workload and guest traffic patterns
  • Develop partnerships with vendors and manage orders to ensure product availability
  • Foster productive relationships with Starbucks district manager and attend business meetings
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new team members
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws including adult beverage and liquor license requirements
  • Lead and model safety, security, and merchandise protection
  • Demonstrate inclusivity and ethical conduct
  • Manage emergency and compliance needs
  • Provide guest services including cashier backup, order pick up, and Drive-up operations
  • Engage guests with welcoming and helpful attitude
