Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Age 18 or older
  • Previous retail and/or food experience preferred but not required
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
  • Effective communication skills
  • Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues

  • Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity and elements including Drive-Up and carryout
  • Ability to remain mobile for entire shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience leading a team preferred
  • Previous experience in retail or food service preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and inventory management
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Ability to plan and execute departmental workload
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate handheld technology devices
  • Understanding of federal, state and local compliance requirements
  • Ability to develop vendor relationships

Job Duties

  • Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement, including merchandising, pricing, changes to salesfloor merchandise displays, sampling and promotions
  • Assess backroom and sales floor areas of Food & Beverage and Food Service on a daily basis by walking the Target Food & Beverage Standards, prioritize business needs and identify workload tasks for the team, review reporting to identify business trends for follow-up
  • Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations
  • Maintain a fresh, full and food safe area during all operating hours leveraging strong inventory management, area routines and Food Safety policies and procedures
  • Deliver the Food & Beverage Standards
  • Validate and follow-up on team members' progress against their assigned prioritized workload tasks, production area routines, and application of best practices
  • Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs including early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns ensuring alignment with weekly and monthly business priorities
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with vendors to ensure clear expectations are established, brand standards are met and areas are full and maintained
  • Foster a productive relationship with Starbucks district manager if applicable, attend required in-store planning and business meetings and follow-up on key takeaways
  • Ensure product availability for guests by placing store-initiated orders with vendors according to best practices
  • Remain up-to-date on relevant trends and products to educate team members
  • Support leader in hiring and onboarding process of new team members
  • Become a subject matter expert in adult beverage laws to protect the store's liquor license if applicable
  • Lead team to uphold and maintain Starbucks and/or Pizza Hut Brand Standards if applicable
  • Complete all Starbucks and/or Pizza Hut training requirements or certifications if applicable
  • Fulfill key carrying responsibilities and follow all safe and secure training and processes
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up and Drive-up while maintaining a compliance culture
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance and hold others accountable
  • Lead and demonstrate safety culture including modeling safe behaviors, identifying hazards, assisting with incident response and reporting
  • Model execution of physical security processes to enhance store security culture
  • Support merchandise protection strategies
  • Demonstrate inclusivity valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences
  • Lead and demonstrate execution of best practices and help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions
  • Address all store emergency and compliance needs
  • Model creating a welcoming experience for guests
  • Engage guests to solve their specific needs
  • Lead by thanking guests and expressing appreciation for shopping at Target
  • Perform all other duties based on business needs
