Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Age 18 or older
  • Previous retail and/or food experience preferred but not required
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
  • Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
  • Effective communication skills
  • Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
  • Interpret instructions, reports and information
  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
  • Climb up and down ladders as needed
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including lifting up to 44 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt attendance necessary
  • Ability to work in a temperature range of 34F to -10F
  • Ability to work in environments where allergens may be handled or present
  • Capacity to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift

Job Duties

  • Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily and weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement including merchandising, pricing, changes to sales floor merchandise displays, sampling and promotions
  • Assess backroom and sales floor areas of Food & Beverage and Food Service on a daily basis by walking the Target Food & Beverage Standards
  • Prioritize business needs and identify workload tasks for the team
  • Hold team members accountable to established goals and expectations
  • Maintain a fresh, full and food safe area during all operating hours leveraging inventory management and Food Safety policies
  • Deliver the Food & Beverage Standards
  • Validate and follow-up on team members' progress against assigned tasks and best practices
  • Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs including early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with vendors to ensure brand standards and area maintenance
  • Foster a productive relationship with Starbucks district manager if applicable
  • Ensure product availability by placing store-initiated orders with vendors according to best practices
  • Remain up-to-date on relevant trends and products to educate team members
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new team members
  • Become a subject matter expert in adult beverage laws and protect store's liquor license if applicable
  • Lead and uphold Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards
  • Complete all required training and certifications
  • Fulfill key carrying responsibilities following safe and secure processes
  • Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup and Drive-up while maintaining compliance
  • Demonstrate culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Lead and demonstrate safety culture, identifying and correcting hazards
  • Model physical security processes
  • Support merchandise protection strategies
  • Demonstrate inclusivity and create equitable experiences
  • Lead execution of best practices, coaching, and development
  • Address all store emergency and compliance needs
  • Model creating a welcoming experience for guests
  • Engage with guests in a welcoming way and solve their needs
  • Thank guests and promote positive shopping experience
  • Perform other duties based on business needs
