Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in hospitality management, food service, business, or related field
  • minimum of two years of restaurant, customer service or related experience
  • must obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
  • must obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
  • ability to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts
  • physical ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and move up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform sedentary work involving prolonged sitting and use of computer
  • hearing and speech sufficient for effective communication
  • visual acuity to perform data and visual inspections
  • ability to move safely in office environment and operate a motor vehicle for work-related travel
  • must present a neat and professional appearance
  • may be required to obtain and maintain gaming license at San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission discretion

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in hospitality management, food service, business, or a related field
  • minimum of two years of restaurant, customer service, or related experience
  • relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
  • proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word

Job Duties

  • Assists with day-to-day operation of the food and beverage venues by ensuring the team delivers best-in-class service to all guests while following service standards
  • prioritizes training and understanding of all line-level positions to maintain and elevate brand standards
  • collaborates with venue leadership to develop and execute department initiatives that build sales, profitability, and cost control
  • ensures the communication and execution of department-wide fiscal and operational goals
  • meets and maintains all safety and health requirements according to applicable codes and tracks required training
  • ensures food is served in a healthy, safe, and timely manner
  • determines materials, equipment, and facilities needed for efficient operations
  • ensures cleanliness, organization and preparedness of workspace and adjacent areas
  • ensures safety and security standards are in place and followed
  • performs other duties as assigned to support efficient department operation
  • carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring and training employees
  • plans, assigns, reviews and directs work
  • evaluates and appraises performance
  • rewards and disciplines employees
  • addresses complaints and resolves problems
  • makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning
