Job Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in hospitality management, food service, business, or related field
  • Minimum of two years of restaurant, customer service, or related experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Service certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
  • Gaming license may be required at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Ability to perform basic math operations
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English
  • Must be able to handle confidential information appropriately

Job Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in hospitality management, food service, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of restaurant, customer service, or related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to delegate, multitask, lead, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with relevant laws and regulations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members
  • Ability to work under pressure and stay calm during busy periods

Job Duties

  • Assist with day-to-day operation of food and beverage venues by ensuring best-in-class service
  • Prioritize training and understanding of line-level positions to elevate brand standards and guest satisfaction
  • Collaborate with venue leadership to develop and execute initiatives to build sales, profitability, and cost control
  • Communicate and execute department-wide fiscal and operational goals
  • Meet and maintain all safety and health requirements
  • Track completion of department-wide training
  • Ensure food is served in a safe and timely manner
  • Determine materials, equipment, and facilities needed for efficient operations
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and preparedness of workspace and adjacent areas
  • Ensure safety and security standards are followed
  • Perform other duties to support department efficiency
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees
  • Plan, assign, review, and direct work
  • Evaluate and appraise employee performance
  • Reward and discipline employees
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Make hiring decisions and design individual development plans with succession planning
