Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of related experience in food and beverage management
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Understanding of budget management and cost control

Job Duties

  • Assist in hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, and evaluating service staff
  • Ensure all staff are well-groomed and in proper uniform
  • Develop detailed plans for events with Food and Beverage Director, Executive Chef, and Catering Manager
  • Consult daily with department heads to assure high member and guest satisfaction at minimal cost
  • Hold pre-function meetings with servers to ensure efficient service and assign stations
  • Ensure all functions and shifts are properly staffed
  • Inspect service areas and equipment for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards
  • Diagram buffet tables and function room setups
  • Ensure all side-work and cleaning of equipment and storage areas are completed
  • Supervise floor during restaurant and banquet service
  • Verify accurate billing of event charges
  • Serve as liaison between service staff and other departments
  • Maintain neatness and safety of all food and beverage areas
  • Greet and seat members and guests
  • Manage inventory of service equipment and supplies
  • Act as head waiter at special functions
  • Handle member and guest complaints
  • Address and resolve employee issues
  • Assist in service and tableside cookery
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Assist with payroll audits and approval
  • Serve as closing manager when assigned
  • Conduct after-event evaluations
  • Assist with monthly inventories
  • Recommend replacement and upgrade of service equipment
  • Establish and maintain vendor relations
  • Ensure compliance with laws and club policies for alcohol service
  • Assist with sales efforts for group and local functions
  • Be present during club hours and events to assist members and guests
  • Follow-up and resolve member issues promptly
  • Assist in preparation of marketing plan and budget
  • Promote club activities
  • Develop training programs for staff
  • Serve as manager on duty as scheduled
