Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 6 months experience in a leadership role
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- availability to work weekdays and weekends including varied shifts
- ability to provide regular written availability to management
- experience in fast-paced catering or restaurant environment
- must acquire and maintain Food Handlers Card and Alcohol Awareness Certification
- ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a leadership role
- ability to read and speak English as required for communication with customers and coworkers
- must be able to work weekdays and weekends, including mornings, noon, and evening shifts on an on-call or event-based schedule
- must provide regular and consistent written availability to management
- experience in a fast-paced, high-volume catering or restaurant environment
- high school diploma, GED, or related food service job experience
- must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and other required compliance trainings
- ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- effective communication skills to foster a positive and cooperative work atmosphere
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Job Duties
- Assist operations and concessions managers on duty in preparation for events
- perform opening and closing procedures for events
- oversee a staff of concession staff, bartenders, banquet servers, and other event support staff
- communicate performance concerns to managers
- assist in the warehouse and oversee warehouse employees and inventory transportation
- provide high-level oversight and operational expertise for smooth, efficient, and profitable event execution
- cover any open position to ensure full operational standards and customer satisfaction
- maintain knowledge of all concessions locations, equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access
- ensure adherence to company policies on alcohol service, food handling, sanitation, and safety
- review banquet event orders to meet all event details
- conduct pre-banquet staff meetings to ensure standards and assignments
- communicate with supervisors and managers on event preparations
- ensure quantities of necessary event items are available or requisitioned
- check room setup and coordinate with chefs on food timing and quantities
- ensure proper handling and storage of equipment and supplies
- conduct random audits during events to evaluate food and service quality
- review banquet schedule and calendar for updates
- handle client complaints and issues promptly
- train and mentor banquet servers and event staff
- ensure staff compliance with safety, health, and sanitation guidelines during events
