Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or related food service job experience
  • minimum of 6 months leadership experience
  • ability to read and speak English
  • availability to work weekdays, weekends, mornings, noon, and evenings on an on-call/event based schedule
  • ability to provide consistent written availability
  • experience in fast-paced catering or restaurant environment
  • must obtain and maintain required certifications such as Food Handlers Card and Alcohol Awareness Certification
  • ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
  • strong communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • adherence to company policies and compliance regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a leadership role

  • experience in fast-paced, high volume catering or restaurant environment

  • must acquire and maintain Food Handlers Card and Alcohol Awareness Certification

  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Duties

  • Assist operations and concessions managers on duty in preparation for events
  • perform opening and closing procedures for events
  • oversee staff of concession staff, bartenders, banquet servers, and other event support staff
  • communicate performance concerns to managers according to company policy
  • assist in the warehouse and oversee warehouse employees and transport of inventory
  • provide high level of oversight and operational expertise for smooth and profitable execution of events
  • cover any open position to ensure full operational status
  • possess thorough knowledge of concessions locations, equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access
  • ensure adherence to all OVG policies, including compliance with alcohol service, food handling, sanitation, and safety
  • review banquet event orders to ensure all details are met
  • conduct pre-banquet staff meetings to review appearance, assignments, and event details
  • communicate with supervisors and managers to coordinate event logistics
  • ensure availability of necessary banquet equipment and secure requisitions for supplies
  • check room setup and coordinate with chefs
  • ensure proper handling and storage of equipment
  • conduct random audits during events to evaluate food and service quality
  • review banquet schedule and special events regularly
  • handle client complaints promptly and professionally
  • train and mentor banquet servers and staff
  • ensure staff adherence to safety, health, and sanitation guidelines during events
