Job Requirements
- Education level varies
- At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage or related fast-paced environment
- Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by law
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced event setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage and lead a team
- Physical ability to perform job duties
- Flexibility to work scheduled events and maintain excellent attendance
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years' experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Ability to supervise the work of others
- Strong communication skills with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests
- Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possession of a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit as required by regulations
- Ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS transactions and inventory
Job Duties
- Oversee the serving of meals to guests or direct guests
- Supervise the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages and verify guest age
- Assist in recording guest orders and relay them to the kitchen via POS system
- Observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine when meals are completed
- Compute meal costs, present checks, accept payments and provide change as necessary
- Ensure tableware and linens are replaced as needed
- Recommend dishes, identify ingredients and explain menu item preparation
- Supervise banquet function setups including linens, dishware, glassware, and silverware
- Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
- Maintain excellent attendance and be available for scheduled events
- Ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to events
- Recognize visibly intoxicated guests and take action to cut off alcohol service
- Enforce all company policies and procedures
- Assist Management with training, inventory, and special event projects
- Perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
