Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment
  • valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if applicable
  • strong communication skills in English
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • excellent attendance record
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented event environments

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced restaurant
  • ability to supervise the work of others
  • ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, coworkers, volunteers, management staff and guests
  • ability to speak, read and write in English
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by law
  • ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory

Job Duties

  • Oversee the serving of meals to guests or direct guests
  • supervise the service of beverages including alcoholic beverages and verify guest IDs
  • assist in recording guest orders and relaying them to the kitchen via POS system
  • observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine meal completion
  • compute meal costs and handle payments
  • ensure tableware and linens are replaced as necessary
  • recommend dishes and explain menu items
  • supervise banquet function setup including linens, dishware, glassware and silverware
  • maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • maintain excellent attendance
  • ensure venue equipment is operable and clean prior to events
  • recognize visibly intoxicated guests and cut off alcohol
  • enforce company policies and procedures
  • assist management with training, inventory and special events
  • perform other duties assigned by management
