Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage or relevant industry
  • strong communication skills
  • English proficiency
  • valid food handling or alcohol service permit if required
  • ability to handle cash and perform basic math
  • availability to work flexible hours
  • excellent attendance record
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years' supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment or applicable education
  • ability to supervise the work of others
  • effective communication skills with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management and guests
  • ability to speak, read and write in English
  • self-motivated in busy environments
  • valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
  • ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • basic math skills related to POS cash and credit transactions, cash reconciliation and inventory

Job Duties

  • Oversee the serving of meals to guests or direct guests in all venues
  • supervise the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages
  • check guests' IDs to verify minimum age requirement for alcoholic purchases
  • help maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • demonstrate excellent attendance and encourage the team to do the same
  • ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to events
  • recognize intoxicated guests and cut off alcohol service
  • enforce all policies and procedures for staff and guests
  • practice excellent human resources skills in employee relations, corrective action, coaching and counseling
  • assist management with training, inventory and special events
  • perform all other duties as assigned
