Job Requirements

- bilingual English and Spanish preferred

- 1-2 years of hands-on experience
- knowledge of food and beverage practices and procedures
- able to operate Windows and Office applications
- POS system experience preferred
- able to lift up to 50 pounds
- able to stand or sit for extended periods
- able to work in variable temperature environments
- able to withstand loud noise
- follow all safety guidelines and OSHA requirements

Job Duties
- Oversee the development and implementation of Food and Beverage training programs, policies, and procedures
- give daily directions and effectively organize Food and Beverage staff
- coach employees by creating a shared understanding of goals and execution
- prepare food in a safe and presentable manner following Standard Operating Procedures
- oversee food and beverage operations during events to ensure client satisfaction
- inspect food service facilities to ensure compliance with state and local health laws and internal regulations
- create employee schedules and maintain proper structure for daily kitchen flow
- monitor inventory of beverage and food items to ensure adequate stock
- ensure adherence to Food and Beverage policies and procedures for customer service excellence
- stay current with training policies and procedures including in-services
- enforce safety standards
- assist in maintaining high Health Department scores
- exhibit attention to detail and consistency in service
- demonstrate problem solving, planning, and organizational skills
- coordinate with staff to maintain inventory levels
- maintain team-like attitude and cooperation with supervisors and employees
- conduct audits within the department
- train and supervise Food and Beverage staff
- follow and enforce sanitation procedures including OSHA requirements
- organize, clean, and maintain equipment
- ensure storerooms are clean, organized, and secure
- follow opening and closing procedures
