Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of related supervisory experience in an upscale hospitality facility or restaurant environment or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions and resolve conflicts
  • Knowledge of alcohol, coffee products and wine
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures including budgeting and purchasing
  • Proficiency with standard PC office software
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English
  • Physical ability to perform medium work with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to train and supervise staff
  • Compliance with employee handbook policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Oversees operations of Food and Beverage and Room Service departments
  • Supervises and delegates responsibilities to the F and B servers
  • Meets with clients and in-house staff to determine the best timing for their function
  • Assists the Associate Director of Food and Beverage and the F and B Manager with the implementation of budgets and works within that budget by managing payroll and food costs
  • Keeps current on trends related to dining service standards
  • Monitors cleanliness and upkeep of dining areas and equipment
  • Oversees sanitation and cleanliness standards
  • Oversees quality and presentation of all food products and critiques the presentation of buffets and food stations
  • Communicates daily with the Associate Director of Food and Beverage and the F and B Manager regarding service-related issues
  • Maintains employee and guest relations
  • Attends weekly Coordination Meetings
  • Enforces rules of conduct and discipline
  • Ensures that subordinates have proper equipment and supplies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
