Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • two years of restaurant or food and beverage supervisory experience
  • ServSafe, TIPS beverage service certification or ability to obtain
  • Food Handlers Card
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
  • ability to lift, transport, and connect kegs weighing up to 150 pounds with assistance
  • capacity to work extended hours with physically demanding responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Supervise restaurant, bar, banquets, and room service food and beverage operations including adherence to health regulations
  • supervise assigned staff to ensure achievement of financial results, guest satisfaction, and positive employee relations
  • work with management to drive revenue, maximize profit, and ensure quality
  • attend meetings and communicate effectively with staff to meet guest and employee needs
  • be present on the restaurant floor during peak business hours
  • open and close the restaurant as needed
  • ensure food and beverage service standards are met and respond timely to guest needs
  • resolve guest complaints focusing on service recovery
  • train and model appropriate guest service standards alongside staff
  • conduct interviews, hire, and develop associates
  • evaluate staff performance and coach to meet standards
  • motivate team with goal setting, feedback, and recognition
  • assist management in discipline and termination decisions
  • maintain training records with emphasis on safe alcohol service
  • analyze quality issues and implement training to improve results
  • adhere to company training policies and requirements
  • implement service programs to meet revenue goals
  • build and maintain client relationships for repeat business
  • use expertise to develop operational changes based on feedback
  • manage expenses to contribute to hotel profitability
