Job Requirements
- Associate's degree in hospitality management, food service, business, or a related field required
- minimum two years of related restaurant or customer service experience required
- must obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
- must obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
- ability to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts
- able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- must be able to sit for long periods and operate computer and office machinery
- clear speech and hearing sufficient for effective communication
- must present neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- may require gaming license as per San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission discretion
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree in hospitality management, food service, business, or a related field
- minimum of two years of restaurant, customer service or related experience
- related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
- proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- strong leadership and people management skills
- ability to delegate, multi-task, lead, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- able to maintain confidentiality and comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- perform simple mathematical operations
- provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members
- communicate clearly and effectively
- work under pressure while remaining calm and efficient
Job Duties
- Assist with day-to-day operation of food and beverage venues by ensuring team delivers best-in-class service
- prioritize training and understanding of all line-level positions to maintain and elevate brand standards
- collaborate with venue leadership to develop and execute department initiatives that build sales, profitability, and cost control
- ensure communication and execution of department-wide fiscal and operational goals
- meet and maintain all safety and health requirements, track required training completion, and ensure food is served safely and timely
- determine materials, equipment, and facilities needed for efficient operations
- ensure cleanliness, organization and preparedness of workspace and adherence to safety and security standards
- perform other duties as assigned to support efficient operation of the department
- carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training employees
- plan, assign, review and direct work
- evaluate and appraise performance
- reward and discipline employees
- address complaints and resolve problems
- make hiring decisions and design individual development plans with succession planning in mind
