Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in food service, hospitality, business management or related field
  • Minimum two years food and beverage experience in a high-volume venue with high quality food and extensive beverage offerings
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal alcohol and cigarette sales regulations
  • Knowledge of San Manuel Gaming Commission regulations and California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control standards
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to manage cash transactions accurately and securely
  • Obtain and maintain a current Food Handler's Card
  • Obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Service certification
  • Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license as per San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance required for commuting between locations
  • Capability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally and perform various physical activities while maintaining endurance throughout shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Food Service, Hospitality, Business Management or related field
  • Minimum two years of food and beverage experience in a high-volume, high-energy venue with extensive beverage offerings
  • Supervisory experience in food and beverage preferred
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal alcohol regulations including San Manuel Gaming Commission and California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to perform basic math operations
  • Experience managing cash transactions accurately and securely
  • Ability to provide friendly and efficient guest service

Job Duties

  • Assist with day-to-day operation of food and beverage venues by ensuring best-in-class service and adherence to Yaamava' Resort & Casino service standards
  • Oversee cash management and cash registers ensuring proper cash procedures
  • Maintain professional customer service standards as outlined in the Food & Beverage Departmental Handbook
  • Prioritize training on beverage preparation, responsible alcohol service, inventory control, food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Administer performance management and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure beverage orders are served efficiently in compliance with health regulations and Yaamava' Brand Standards
  • Determine materials, equipment, and facilities needed for effective operations
  • Manage beverage inventory including purchasing, receiving, rotating, storing, and issuing to meet cost and quality goals
  • Complete inventory audits and logs including usage, spillage, and complimentary
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization and preparedness of beverage areas and maintain sanitation standards
  • Monitor preventative maintenance of beer systems, walk-in coolers, and bar equipment
  • Resolve complaints, grievances, and personnel issues in daily administration
  • Communicate and execute department-wide fiscal and operational goals in collaboration with venue leadership
  • Perform other duties to support efficient department operations
