Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in high volume buffet or ala carte restaurant environment
- proficiency in computer applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- certification in approved alcohol awareness course
- ability to obtain and renew all required licenses or certifications
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to push or pull 150 to 250 lbs on a pushcart
- ability to work in temperature ranges from -10 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to navigate slippery floors safely
- physical ability to bend, reach up to 6 feet, push, pull, grasp
- commitment to fostering a fun and professional work environment
- adherence to company appearance and behavior standards
- willingness to work indoors and outdoors in conditions involving noise, smoke, and varying temperatures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- college degree preferred
- effective communication skills in written and verbal forms
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- certification in approved alcohol awareness course
- 3-5 years experience in high volume buffet or ala carte restaurant environment
- casino experience preferred
- ability to obtain and renew required licenses or certification
Job Duties
- Hold pre-shift meetings
- assign stations and break schedules
- evaluate and document team member performance
- cover call outs
- handle guest opportunities
- address team member issues
- update the logbook
- requisition and issue product
- audit clock in and sign in records
- evaluate equipment and stock levels
- ensure operational equipment functionality
- communicate with supervisors and managers
- evaluate side work
- supervise all staff
- train new hourly and supervisory team members
- conduct periodic performance evaluations
- manage progressive discipline
- keep documentation of attendance, discipline, incidents, schedules, reports
- maintain knowledge of equipment and maintenance
- manage liquor and soda dispensing equipment
- oversee beer systems
- adhere to internal control procedures
- handle scheduling, over and shorts, comment cards, P&L briefs and statements, business plan objectives, budgeting, planning
- coordinate supervisors' span of control
- operate department following safety and health guidelines
- develop menus and SOPs for food preparation
- supervise cooking techniques and equipment use
- produce soups, stocks, sauces, cold salads, sandwiches
- slice deli meats and cheese
- maintain professional work environment
- complete additional responsibilities assigned by management
