Job Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • completion of orientation and safety trainings
  • additional trainings as assigned
  • gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission
  • RBS certification as trained at Rolling Hills Casino
  • food handler's permit from relevant government agency
  • must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino
  • valid state issued driver's license

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
  • two years specialized experience in food services industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of computers in a Windows based environment
  • previous experience with a point of sale system
  • customer service experience
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • excellent communication and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Provides consistent, attentive and friendly service to guests
  • determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
  • issues written and oral instructions in a timely manner
  • assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
  • addresses and resolves any problems during assigned shift such as customer complaints and employee issues
  • maintains a hospitable and team atmosphere with staff
  • sells alcoholic beverages and food to guests following RBS guidelines
  • relays complaints, problems, or positive remarks to Room Manager or Shift Manager
  • maintains assigned workstation and section in a sanitary and organized manner
  • operates, balances and reconciles cash and credit card transactions, follows proper procedures for closing and balancing till
  • performs or assists team members in performing duties and teaches customer service skills
  • trains new employees and monitors their activity
  • requisitions supplies and prepares inventories as requested
  • monitors customer satisfaction of food, service, and atmosphere
  • prepares memos and provides written direction to team members
  • follows established departmental policies and procedures
  • performs other duties as assigned
