Job Requirements

  • Must be minimum 21 years of age
  • Must be flexible and respond quickly to issues
  • Must have knowledge of food production, purchasing and sanitation
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Ability to take undefined tasks and define appropriate solutions
  • Food handlers card to be obtained within 30 days of employment
  • Alcohol server license
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift 40 pounds
  • Willingness to work irregular hours

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in food and beverage management or related field desired
  • Previous customer service and cash handling experience is a plus
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in supervisory role in food and beverage or equivalent training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to define problems, propose and implement solutions
  • Food handlers card and alcohol server license required

Job Duties

  • Ensures all food and beverage sets such as concessions and banquets and designated bar areas are properly set before guests arrive
  • Oversees food and beverage and bar staff during events
  • Trains concessions, banquet and bar staff on department standards and procedures
  • Reads and understands par sheets, stand sheets and requisition orders
  • Maintains existing equipment needed for outlet areas and bars
  • Follows responsible alcohol service policies
  • Supervises and coordinates concessions attendants including training and providing feedback
  • Ensures professional and courteous guest service
  • Analyzes and resolves problems with associates, guests and operations with manager assistance
  • Learns food and beverage menus to complete transactions and upsell for profitability
  • Supervises staff to maintain clean, organized, stocked and safe work areas
  • Assists manager with inventory reporting
  • Supports concessions and bar staff with opening and closing duties
  • Oversees food presentation, preparation and service to meet standards
  • Executes last minute changes and holds pre-function meetings
  • Fosters a harmonious working climate to maximize productivity
  • Performs other duties as assigned
