Job Requirements
- 1 year of food and beverage experience
- 3 years of food and beverage management experience preferred
- Experience with POS systems in a fast-paced restaurant bar or casino
- Ability to read write speak and understand English
- Must be able to work nights weekends and holidays
- Must be able to maintain the appropriate Gaming License
- Must obtain and maintain responsible service of alcohol and food handler certification
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work in a noisy and sometimes smoky environment
- Must be able to work effectively under stress
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in hotel restaurant management culinary or related area preferred
- 3 years of food and beverage management experience preferred
- 1 year of food and beverage experience required
- Experience with POS systems in a fast-paced restaurant bar or casino required
- Restaurant opening experience preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Ability to interact and communicate in both group and individual settings
- Must be able to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems
- Strong organizational and analytical skills required
- Ability to read analyze and act upon documents and reports
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work through multiple tasks at once
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to work individually or with a team
- Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must maintain the appropriate Gaming License
- Must obtain and maintain responsible service of alcohol and food handler certification

- Bilingual skills a plus
Job Duties
- Coaches and guides team members to meet department goals and maintain a high level of guest service and internal service standards
- Motivates team members for continuous improvement
- Effectively assists in scheduling to meet business demands and manage labor costs
- Participates in selecting and training new food and beverage team members
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Manages team in maintenance and cleanliness standards within all food and beverage areas
- Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers and resolves guest complaints in a timely and positive manner
- Ensures adherence to Standard Operating Procedures for daily food and beverage functions and suggests updates when necessary
- Coordinates training and assists in on-the-job training for team members to ensure understanding of job expectations and performance standards
- Writes and issues performance management documentation including corrective and positive feedback
- Assists with inventory and product ordering
- Utilizes POS system to track service times, revenue, and other data while assisting department leadership in achieving goals
- Steps in as a working supervisor performing duties such as cooking, serving, cashiering, and bartending when needed
- Follows responsible service of alcohol guidelines including checking identification and monitoring intoxication
- Maintains a clean and professional appearance according to company standards
- Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record
- Works required schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ensures all safety standards are met and resolves safety hazards promptly
- Acts as a role model and champion of Prairie Flower Casino’s mission and values
