Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in food service management
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
  • State Food Handler certification
  • Responsible Beverage Service certification
  • Advanced cooking and knife skills
  • Knowledge of company policies and relevant laws
  • Strong personnel and financial management skills
  • Problem-solving and deductive reasoning abilities
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Computer proficiency including MS Office and food service software
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and month-end closing
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform kitchen tasks in variable environments
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in food service management within a high volume operation
  • Minimum 3 years experience in supervisory role and staff development
  • State Food Handler Certification
  • Responsible Beverage Service state certification
  • Advanced cooking skills including butchering, sauces, soups, and cooking of meat, fish, and vegetables
  • Knowledge of company policies, federal, state and local regulations
  • Understanding of management principles for personnel and financial resources
  • Ability to anticipate problems and apply deductive reasoning
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and food and beverage software programs

Job Duties

  • Hire, train, supervise, and develop cafe kitchen staff
  • Compile performance reports and conduct timely evaluations
  • Conduct weekly departmental meetings
  • Implement company policies and procedures
  • Process, review and submit payroll for supervised staff
  • Ensure food safety certifications and uniform adherence
  • Organize and maintain kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Research and recommend kitchen equipment improvements
  • Inventory and order food products
  • Assist with menu creation and ensure recipe adherence
  • Ensure quality food presentation and prepare assigned food items
  • Participate actively in line production and kitchen stations
  • Rotate and store food products to maintain freshness
  • Operate food production equipment safely
  • Follow safe and sanitary food handling practices
  • Conduct daily kitchen safety and sanitation walk-throughs
  • Promote a safe working environment
  • Submit vendor and departmental invoices for payment
  • Manage cafe financial performance including sales targets and expense control
  • Track and report financial operation details
  • Prepare action plans to meet financial goals
  • Assist in annual budget development and long-term growth strategy
  • Review financial statements and reports
  • Communicate professionally with management, staff, members, guests, and vendors
  • Promote harmonious relations among all stakeholders
  • Participate in company events, meetings, and trainings
  • Represent the club professionally through appearance and communication
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Uphold the TBCC mission and club brand
  • Support corporate objectives and positive change initiatives
  • Prioritize professional development
  • Work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays and month-end close-outs
