Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience as a food and beverage supervisor in a high-volume hotel environment
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to bartend and knowledge of wines and liquors
  • Leadership experience in managing employees
  • Capable of working 2nd shift from 3 pm to closing
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle guest concerns and resolve complaints
  • Understanding of food and beverage laws and regulations
  • Ability to motivate and mentor team members
  • Experience with food and beverage operations including restaurant, bar, room service, and banquet
  • Commitment to maintain high customer service standards
  • Proficiency in departmental communication and reporting
  • Capability to analyze information and problem-solve independently

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience as a food and beverage supervisor in a high-volume hotel environment
  • Knowledge of wines, liquors, and bartending skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Ability to handle guest complaints and provide resolution
  • Proficiency in food and beverage laws and regulations

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Previous experience in managing multiple food and beverage outlets
  • Proven ability to coach and train staff effectively
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Assist in managing the food and beverage departments
  • Supervise and manage employees
  • Help manage all day-to-day operations
  • Understand employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others
  • Oversee all restaurant, lobby bar, and in-room dining operations, occasionally assist with banquets
  • Create and nurture a property environment emphasizing motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement, and passion for excellent service
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests and associates
  • Respond quickly and proactively to associates' concerns
  • Provide a learning atmosphere with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Provide proactive training and coaching to team members
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Ensure and maintain productivity levels of associates
  • Meet specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
  • Set clear expectations with associates and team leaders and give appropriate accolades if expectations are exceeded
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Respond quickly and proactively to guests' concerns
  • Understand the brand's service culture and ensure all associates understand it
  • Set service expectations for all guests internally and externally
  • Take ownership of guest complaints or problems until resolved or addressed
  • Provide services above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
  • Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs and provide guidance, feedback, and coaching
  • Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
