Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- One to two years of food and beverage experience in hotel environment
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to lead and train others
- Strong communication skills
- Must complete RBS alcohol awareness certification
- Valid Food Handlers Card or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends
- Must wear non-slip, oil-resistant shoes
- Compliance with safety and PPE protocols
- Ability to handle guest complaints calmly and professionally
Job Qualifications
- One to two years of increasingly responsible food and beverage experience in hotel environment
- Prior supervisory experience desired
- Ability to lead others by mentoring and training
- Ability to monitor labor and anticipate business needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to serve guests with discretion and professionalism
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to learn and use POS computer systems
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and interpret instructions
- Willingness to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends
- Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Must complete RBS alcohol awareness certification
- Must have or obtain a valid Food Handlers Card
Job Duties
- Supervises subordinate lead personnel in the assigned restaurants and/or In Room Dining
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Plans, assigns and directs work
- May set work schedules
- Recommends performance ratings, merit increases, promotions and reclassification
- Monitors day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure standards of product presentation and service meet or exceed property standards
- Takes or recommends corrective action as needed
- Works to achieve budgeted revenues, controls expenses and maximizes profitability within assigned areas
- Utilizes corporate approved computer programs to analyze forecasts, cost and revenue reports
- Ensures quality and portion control while minimizing waste
- Ensures guests receive outstanding, consistent, exceptional service by circulating through each dining area
- Seeks opportunities to improve satisfaction and handles guest concerns or complaints
- Ensures all dining, service and kitchen areas are clean and properly set up
- Maintains inventory of food, supplies and equipment, orders as needed
- Participates in inventories and submits liquor and supply orders
- Ensures equipment is maintained and compliance with food and beverage regulations
- Monitors SOPs to ensure consistent service
- Participates in management meetings
- Follows all food handling, RBS, sanitation and health department guidelines
- Maintains compliance with safety policies, PPE use, and HAZMAT program
- Recommends merit decisions and promotions within company policy
- Responds to guest inquiries and coordinates special arrangements
- Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority
- Notifies management of any unusual events
- Ensures minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages
- Notifies management of problems from guest complaints or disruptive behavior
