Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must maintain active Food Handler's Card (FHC) and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certificate
  • Prepare and issue written disciplinary documentation as necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a food and beverage supervisory role, preferably in the events industry
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage service standards and procedures
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide staff effectively
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of quality and cleanliness
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Ensure efficient deployment of event staff to designated areas
  • Supervise and train food and beverage staff across all positions, ensuring excellent service and adherence to company standards
  • Maintain ongoing communication with staff to provide updates, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly
  • Coordinate and track rest and meal break in compliance with California Labor Laws
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of bars, beer stands, and food service areas as needed, ensuring proper arrangement and presentation
  • Promptly respond to calls involving guest concerns, medical incidents, or safety issues, and manage complaints with professionalism
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed
  • Demonstrate proficiency in understanding and adhering to the policies, procedures, and regulations of various venues, facilities, and events
  • Utilize event technology and POS systems to support operations, reporting, and inventory tracking
  • Manage administrative paperwork including timesheets, break schedules, required reporting, and Workers' Compensation documentation for employee injuries
  • Support operational administration by maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring accurate stock levels and proper storage
