Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years experience in food and beverage supervision or related hospitality role
- proficient in computer applications including Windows operating system, spreadsheets, and word processing
- strong knowledge of food and beverage operations and health and safety regulations
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to work long hours and handle medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- demonstrated problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- maintain professional appearance and grooming standards
- willingness to comply with company policies and attend mandatory trainings
- flexibility to cover management duties as required
- ability to handle confidential information responsibly
Job Qualifications
- at least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree and at least 3 years of related experience or a 2-year college degree and 4 or more years of related experience
- proficiency in Windows and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
- understanding of health department rules and regulations
- awareness of liquor laws and regulations
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns
- multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- attentive, friendly, and courteous demeanor
- willingness to attend all required meetings and trainings
- capability to participate in management on duty coverage
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- comply with company standards for safe and efficient operations

Job Duties
- attend to guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- supervise and manage all food and beverage personnel
- respond promptly to guest complaints
- participate in food and beverage budgeting and forecasting
- monitor industry trends and maintain competitive operations
- communicate regularly with the food and beverage manager
- coordinate loss prevention activities
- prepare and submit reports on time
- conduct department inventories and submit reports
- organize and lead regular department meetings
- monitor quality of service and products
- assist in menu planning and preparation
- ensure timely purchasing within budget
- oversee employee cafeteria operations
- ensure compliance with liquor laws, health, and sanitation regulations
- enforce departmental SOPs
- train staff on SOPs and job tasks
- attend and conduct trainings
- interview and hire front-of-house and back-of-house staff
- attend pre- and post-convention meetings
- ensure overall guest satisfaction
