Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year recent supervisory dining room or food service experience
  • Experience in cash handling and enforcing alcohol service regulations
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No felony, theft or stealing convictions
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
  • Ability to pass background investigation
  • Must obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • Must have high energy and motivated personality
  • Knowledge of food and beverage laws and health codes
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers card
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions
  • Ability to lead and cooperate in a team
  • Must present a neat and professional appearance
  • Must follow professional phone and radio etiquette
  • Must be flexible to assume other duties as assigned
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and graveyard shifts
  • Must adhere to casino attendance policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of recent supervisory dining room or food service experience
  • Experience in cash handling and alcohol enforcement
  • Knowledge of dining, buffet, and food maintenance operations
  • Familiarity with all menu items including entrees, side dishes, beverages, and desserts
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Proficiency in procurement systems
  • Knowledge of supervisory techniques
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understanding of Title 4 (Arizona liquor law) regarding alcohol service
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers card
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong guest service skills with a professional approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
  • Competence in following oral and written instructions
  • Leadership ability in team environments
  • Skills in resolving guest concerns promptly
  • Experience assigning duties and responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with all Tohono O'odham Gaming Enterprise policies and procedures including Internal Controls
  • Maintain knowledge and enforcement of laws and regulations governing food and beverage operations including Tribal, City, State, and Federal health and food safety codes
  • Maintain a clean, organized and sanitized work area following all relevant health, safety, and food regulations
  • Deliver exceptional guest service in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Oversee quality control and consistent presentation of food and beverage items
  • Communicate effectively with management, team members, and other departments
  • Attend and contribute to supervisor and management meetings for continued growth and development
  • Enforce compliance with Title 4 (Arizona liquor law) and internal controls
  • Manage procurement system orders efficiently
  • Create employee schedules to meet business needs
  • Maintain and organize inventory par levels
  • Provide effective training to team members
  • Maintain accurate attendance and time records
  • Lead with integrity and promote a positive work environment
  • Monitor labor effectiveness and cost control
  • Assist in daily operations ensuring efficiency
  • Conduct fair performance evaluations
  • Understand and utilize profit and loss statements to manage variances
  • Collaborate with other departments for outstanding guest service
