Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one to three months related experience or training or equivalent
  • 2+ years lead server experience preferred
  • proven exemplary customer service skills
  • 2+ years experience with restaurant POS software
  • 1+ years experience at current or similar property
  • ability to stand, walk, talk, hear frequently
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally 50 pounds
  • may work in extreme heat, wet or humid conditions
  • ServSafe or TIPS certification
  • meets state age requirements for alcohol handling

Job Duties

  • Provide efficient service with professionalism and courtesy
  • create memorable dining experiences through personalized interactions
  • assist department manager with training and development
  • ensure staff works as a team to meet guest needs
  • inspect grooming and attire of staff
  • complete inventories and requisitions
  • monitor dining rooms for seating and safety
  • attend to guests promptly and efficiently
  • act as liaison between front of house and kitchen staff
  • maintain cleanliness and organization
  • check equipment maintenance and report issues
  • complete opening and closing procedures
  • coordinate special functions
  • assist with inventory and pre-shift meetings
  • complete revenue and production reports
  • serve and bus tables
  • seat guests and perform room service duties
  • assist in interviewing and evaluating staff
  • maintain positive working relationships
  • ensure adherence to quality standards
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • coordinate department members
  • monitor business volume and plan manpower
  • incorporate safe work practices
  • maintain reliable attendance
  • perform other duties as required
