- Two years of experience in a hotel food and beverage department or related field preferred

Job Duties
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with property standards
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- comply with property standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations
- weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes
- ensure kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned and properly maintained
- check food and ingredients for freshness and quality control
- prepare menu items according to approved menu cards ensuring consistency of product and presentation
- maintain a friendly and warm demeanor
- be familiar with the organization and function of each department
- assist Food & Beverage Manager or Executive Chef in maintaining food and beverage costs
- maintain close communication with employees seeking input regarding food and beverage issues and act as a motivating influence
- monitor servers' cash overages and shortages
- maintain service standards throughout the department
- immediately follow up on accidents, problems or guest complaints
- be familiar with emergency procedures and equipment locations
- maintain proper disciplinary actions for Food and Beverage employees
- be familiar with P.O.S. and time & attendance systems
- ensure employees are attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests and colleagues
- assist in preparation of staff schedules complying with wage control and productivity standards
- assist in monthly inventories and reconciliations
- monitor inventory and place orders as necessary
- ensure completion of all side work duties by servers
- assist in developing promotional ideas
- assist in planning and organizing monthly departmental meetings
- promote sales efforts for all service personnel
- assist in preparing for and conducting employee performance appraisals
- maintain and improve quality and presentation of food products
- schedule and attend required Food & Beverage meetings
- perform general cleaning tasks adhering to health and safety standards
- ensure staff have up-to-date TIPS or Food Handling Certifications
- perform duties of any position supervised
- demonstrate positive leadership characteristics
- complete special projects and other responsibilities assigned
- abide by payroll and employee conduct policies
- maintain knowledge of safety and security procedures
- report unusual occurrences to management
- read and abide by all regulations in the associate handbook
