The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is a luxurious and prestigious establishment located in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • refined verbal communication skills
  • physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
  • current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency
  • food service and/or other certification as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous supervisory experience in food and beverage operations
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of food and beverage principles
  • ability to train and develop staff
  • excellent problem-solving skills
  • certification in alcohol service and/or food handling

Job Duties

  • Support senior leadership by developing and assuming basic management responsibilities
  • lead associates by coaching, giving direction, training, scheduling, payroll, and interviewing
  • demonstrate fundamental food and beverage knowledge
  • serve as liaison between culinary and food and beverage operations
  • ensure product quality and service standards
  • contribute to overall outlet performance
  • manage daily operations in the food and beverage department
