Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous supervisory experience in food and beverage or restaurant operations
- Proficient in food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage and lead a diverse team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Experience in a supervisory position within full service restaurants
- Knowledge of beverage cost and sequence of service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands-on attitude
- Micros point-of-sale system experience is a plus
- Ability to train and mentor staff
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Passion for hospitality and customer service
Job Duties
- Completely direct the operational efforts and strategies of all kitchen outlets
- Supervise the entire kitchen staff as well as restaurant, lounge, banquet, and utility and sanitation associates
- Provide supervisory guidance, aid and counsel for all kitchen and restaurant associates
- Train all associates in proper seasoning, food production techniques, plate presentation, display work, cleaning and sanitation
- Assist in writing schedules, evaluating associates, and directing all personnel
- Maintain open verbal and written communication between management and associates
- Write and present disciplinary actions as needed
- Provide associates with necessary tools and equipment
- Take immediate action on problems encountered in the kitchen or restaurant
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, weekly BEO meetings with sales, weekly food and beverage meetings, and monthly kitchen inventory
- Ensure all food served is high quality, properly prepared according to recipe, and expedited efficiently to all outlets
- Assist in other areas of hotel operation as needed with passion and commitment
