Job Requirements
- Minimum lifting 50 lbs
- Proven experience as cook
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
- Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
- Must be Servsafe Certified (cooks and chef)
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Knowledge of cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Flexible and available when extensive work hours are required
- Attention to detail, good communication skills
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, large team environment
- Sincere willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently
- Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
- High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within the team
Job Qualifications
- Servsafe Food Handler Certification or state approved equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in a 5-star luxury hotel kitchen environment
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary school diploma is an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to guests and residents
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in food and beverage areas
- Serve food and beverages according to hotel standards
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen duties as required
- Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service
- Adapt to changing work conditions and priorities
