Job Requirements

  • Minimum lifting 50 lbs
  • Proven experience as cook
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
  • Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
  • Must be Servsafe Certified (cooks and chef)
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Knowledge of cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Flexible and available when extensive work hours are required
  • Attention to detail, good communication skills
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, large team environment
  • Sincere willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
  • High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within the team

Job Qualifications

  • Servsafe Food Handler Certification or state approved equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in a 5-star luxury hotel kitchen environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary school diploma is an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and residents
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in food and beverage areas
  • Serve food and beverages according to hotel standards
  • Assist in food preparation and kitchen duties as required
  • Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service
  • Adapt to changing work conditions and priorities
