Job Description

The Lake County Captains are a Minor League Baseball team based in Eastlake, Ohio. As a High-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, the Captains compete in the Midwest League, providing an exciting and entertaining baseball experience for fans in the region. Job Requirements

  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a college-level program
  • Availability to work all 66 home games, playoff games, and additional non-Captains baseball games
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays from April through September
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, and transport up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Current college student or recent graduate
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with inventory management
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage on inventory management and rotation, ordering product, receiving deliveries, month end financials
  • Train, onboard, and manage 100+ seasonal food & beverage employees
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and train employees on Square point-of-sale system
  • Determine inventory needs for each concession location and ensure proper stocking before games and events
  • Ensure the cleanliness of all food & beverage service areas
  • Monitor food and labor costs
  • Fulfill game-day responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and respond quickly and professionally
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Food & Beverage and General Manager
