Job Requirements
- At least one year of serving experience recommended
- availability for shifts on Tuesdays, weekends for lunch, and Wednesday through Friday and weekends for dinners
- punctuality and professional appearance
- current Food Handlers Card
- valid Class 12 or 13 Alcohol Service Permit
- ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 20 pounds
- effective communication skills
- willingness to work flexible hours
- ability to handle guest complaints and problem-solving
- physical ability to perform service duties including bending and lifting
- adherence to all health and safety regulations
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- two years experience in food service, private clubs, hotels, or customer service
- basic knowledge of food, wine, and spirits
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- ability to write simple correspondence
- effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings
- ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpret bar graphs
- common sense and good judgment to handle guest situations and follow instructions
- ability to work under stress and manage multiple priorities
Job Duties
- Greet guests and explain menu specials
- suggestively sell menu items by describing them enticingly
- promptly enter orders into the POS system
- deliver orders on trays to guests within time limits
- check back during meals to ensure satisfaction and upsell additional items
- perform service duties for other servers and assist with guest tables
- maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper dining room setup
- handle guest complaints professionally and communicate with management
- arrive on time in proper uniform ready to work
- replenish water and remove soiled service ware
- help ensure smooth and efficient food service
- follow assignments from captains or management
- treat co-workers, members, and guests with courtesy and respect
- maintain good appearance and personal grooming
- learn member names and preferences
- adhere to all food and beverage regulations and maintain necessary certifications
