Job Requirements

  • At least two years of payroll experience in banquets or a food and beverage segment
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with payroll and scheduling software
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Available to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with possible extended hours
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally

Job Qualifications

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with payroll and scheduling software such as Evention
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Micros/Agilysis billing systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of banquet operations and event planning

Job Duties

  • Communicate accurately and clearly between departments and Team Members for scheduling, billing, payroll, and interoffice communications
  • Maintain accurate time and attendance records for the large department and quickly resolve any payroll and scheduling issues
  • Prepare and post daily and weekly payroll and schedules for servers, banquet captains, meeting attendants, and all Food and Beverage Operational teams using Evention and payroll software
  • Run various payroll reports as required
  • Prepare and distribute assignments for Banquet Captains, Meeting Attendant Supervisors, and Banquet Houseman Foreman
  • Handle all phone inquiries for the office/operations, direct calls to staff by radio or phone as necessary
  • Order and maintain office & operations supplies
  • Prepare & process checks in Micros/Agilysis for Banquet Captains and Meeting Attendant Supervisors, assist in getting signatures where appropriate
  • Enter billing information into Micros in order to generate a final guest check and balance the banquet check in Delphi.fdc
  • Create diagrams of banquet functions meeting guests' specifications and safety regulations and distribute diagrams
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and liaise with internal departments
  • Separate, post, and distribute Banquet Event Orders
  • Communicate calmly and positively with all operating departments and guests/hosts to ensure timely execution of events and high-quality service
  • Assist with Discovery and Planning Visits, tastings, Pre-Convention meetings, and tie-down meetings
  • Order supplies and linens for functions and maintain inventory par
  • Attend meetings such as menu meetings, staff meetings, and Pre-con meetings
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date file system
  • Check staff attendance according to schedules, adjust, and reassign server stations as necessary
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately
  • Support other Food and Beverage Operations Directors as needed
  • Keep the work area clean and organized
  • Maintain good working relationships with other departments and guests
