Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related field
  • OR Two-year degree from accredited university
  • Two years experience in food and beverage or culinary field
  • Ability to work full time onsite
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards
  • Availability to work varied shifts
  • Ability to perform physical duties as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with four years of experience in food and beverage or culinary fields
  • OR Two-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major with two years of experience
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and financials
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to foster teamwork and a positive work environment
  • Experience in customer service excellence
  • Knowledge of health and safety compliance
  • Proficiency in operating food and beverage equipment
  • Capability to perform duties in absence of employees

Job Duties

  • Assists in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms
  • Supervises daily food and beverage shift operations and monitors compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures
  • Supports and supervises monthly self-inspection programs
  • Operates department equipment and reports malfunctions
  • Supervises staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Understands employee positions to perform duties in their absence
  • Develops goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
  • Monitors and maintains productivity levels of employees
  • Verifies understanding of brand-specific philosophy among team members and supervisors
  • Maintains operating budget and ensures legal compliance
  • Assists supervisors in understanding team members' needs and expectations
  • Celebrates and fosters decisions that result in successes and learns from failures
  • Communicates areas needing attention and follows up
  • Coordinates cleaning programs in all F&B areas and identifies trends
  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees
  • Creates a motivating and empowering property environment
  • Follows property-specific second effort and recovery plans
  • Stays readily available and approachable for all team members
  • Demonstrates knowledge of brand service culture
  • Provides exceptional customer service beyond expectations
  • Improves service through guest needs communication, guidance, feedback, and coaching
  • Serves as a role model for appropriate behaviors
  • Takes proactive approaches to guest concerns
  • Sets positive examples for guest relations
  • Reviews guest satisfaction feedback and survey results
