Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- OR Two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- Two years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- Availability to work full-time
- Willingness to supervise operational activities and staff
- Ability to comply with Marriott’s policies and standards
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage budgets and operational plans
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assists in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
- Supervises daily F&B shift operations and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards and procedures
- Supports and supervises an effective monthly self-inspection program
- Operates all department equipment as necessary and reports malfunction
- Supervises staffing levels to verify guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Monitors and maintains the productivity level of employees
- Verifies that all team members and supervisors understand the brand specific philosophy
- Maintains the operating budget and verifies standards and legal obligations are followed
- Provides services above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
- Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching
- Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
- Takes proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns
- Sets a positive example for guest relations
- Reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
- Responds timely to customer service department requests
- Provides guidance and direction to subordinates including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
- Analyzes information and evaluates results to solve problems
- Performs hourly job functions if necessary
- Maintains professionalism and courtesy to team members at all times
- Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
