Job Requirements
- minimum high school diploma or GED
- minimum 3 years customer service experience
- minimum 1 year leadership experience preferred
- servsafe certification or successful completion within first year of employment
- ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- able to complete TIPS training for bartending duties
- completion of First-aid/CPR training as part of Incident Command participation
Job Qualifications
- minimum high school diploma or GED
- advanced degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- at least three years of customer service experience
- minimum one year of leadership experience preferred
- servsafe certification or successful completion within first year
- strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- ability to train and develop staff
- knowledge of food safety standards
- proficiency in inventory management
- capability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- provide direct operational support to all food service locations throughout the zoo
- assist with daily setup and closing of food service stations
- monitor and verify inventory and supplies using FIFO
- manage cash drawers and oversee event setup and breakdown
- train and support staff to reduce waste and maintain health and safety standards
- participate in monthly inventory counts and restocking
- assist with administrative tasks including payroll approval, attendance tracking, and training record maintenance
- lead hiring processes and handle conflict resolution among staff
- serve as Guest Chief in Incident Command, requiring first-aid/cpr certification
