Job Requirements

  • minimum high school diploma or GED
  • minimum 3 years customer service experience
  • minimum 1 year leadership experience preferred
  • servsafe certification or successful completion within first year of employment
  • ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • able to complete TIPS training for bartending duties
  • completion of First-aid/CPR training as part of Incident Command participation

Job Qualifications

  • minimum high school diploma or GED
  • advanced degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • at least three years of customer service experience
  • minimum one year of leadership experience preferred
  • servsafe certification or successful completion within first year
  • strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • ability to train and develop staff
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • proficiency in inventory management
  • capability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • provide direct operational support to all food service locations throughout the zoo
  • assist with daily setup and closing of food service stations
  • monitor and verify inventory and supplies using FIFO
  • manage cash drawers and oversee event setup and breakdown
  • train and support staff to reduce waste and maintain health and safety standards
  • participate in monthly inventory counts and restocking
  • assist with administrative tasks including payroll approval, attendance tracking, and training record maintenance
  • lead hiring processes and handle conflict resolution among staff
  • serve as Guest Chief in Incident Command, requiring first-aid/cpr certification
