Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • three years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • or associate degree from accredited university in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • one year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • ability to operate department equipment
  • capacity to communicate effectively with staff and guests
  • ability to supervise shifts and staffing levels
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • proficiency in managing budgets and payroll reports

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • assist in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms
  • supervise daily food and beverage shift operations and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and procedures
  • support and supervise monthly self inspection program
  • operate department equipment and report malfunctions
  • supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
  • encourage trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • develop goals and plans to prioritize and organize work
  • communicate areas needing attention to staff and ensure understanding
  • coordinate cleaning program across all food and beverage areas and recommend improvements
  • follow specific second effort and recovery plans
  • remain available and approachable to all team members
  • demonstrate knowledge of brand-specific service culture
  • provide exceptional customer service to ensure guest satisfaction and retention
  • serve as a role model for appropriate behavior
  • manage day-to-day operations to maintain quality standards and meet customer expectations
  • proactively address guest concerns
  • set positive examples for guest relations
  • stay readily available and approachable to guests
  • review guest satisfaction results and comment cards with employees
  • respond timely to customer service requests
