Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • proven experience in food and beverage management in a luxury hotel
  • demonstrated leadership capability
  • ability to work in a unionized environment preferred
  • strong knowledge of health, safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of food and beverage leadership experience in a luxury hotel
  • prior experience in a union environment is a plus
  • previous experience managing in-room dining operations is advantageous
  • strong leadership and team-building skills
  • excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • ability to maintain high standards of quality and customer service

Job Duties

  • Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation
  • implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • help ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service
  • interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate staff
