Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Three to five years' related experience in hospitality preferred
  • One to three years' supervisory experience required
  • Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification required
  • Must meet state and federal minimum age for serving alcohol
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of restaurant database software a plus
  • Familiarity with county regulations
  • Ability to understand and implement dining standards
  • Ability to read and interpret industry periodicals
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver's license

Job Duties

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support the achievement of company goals
  • Support the Director in providing strategic intelligence on all F&B initiatives including vision, business planning, capital expansion, branding, menu and restaurant design, and the development of new F&B experiences
  • Ensure superior standards of food service and quality meet or exceed employee and guest expectations
  • Maintain effective communication regarding F&B operations, safety, and employee concerns
  • Hire, train, and supervise F&B staff
  • create weekly schedules
  • coach and encourage team members
  • Recognize and celebrate team member success
  • Manage costs of goods, labor, and general expenses for F&B operations
  • Establish and manage purchase orders, checkbooks, contribution reports, and budgets
  • Coordinate with Club Manager on budgets and goals for sales, revenue, and business development
  • Execute budgets daily, monthly, and annually
  • Create operational reports as needed
  • Oversee all F&B functions including corporate parties and weddings
  • Maintain standards of excellence by staying current on market trends and industry innovations
  • Attend culinary exhibitions, buying shows, and educational seminars
  • Perform other assigned duties as required
