Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • three to five years related experience in hospitality preferred
  • one to three years supervisory experience required
  • current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification required
  • meet state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol
  • computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • knowledge of restaurant database software a plus
  • knowledgeable about county regulations
  • ability to understand and implement BSRG dining standards
  • ability to read, analyze, and interpret industry periodicals
  • ability to understand standardized recipe format
  • ability to write reports and correspondence
  • ability to speak effectively before groups
  • ability to calculate food costs, pricing, discounts, inventory, labor standards, and volume
  • understanding of profit and loss statements and capital projects
  • computational and budgetary analysis skills
  • planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, and employee development skills
  • excellent written and verbal communication

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • three to five years' related experience in the hospitality field preferred
  • one to three years' experience supervising a team of managers or in a supervisory role required
  • current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • knowledge of restaurant database software a plus
  • knowledge of county regulations
  • ability to understand and implement BSRG dining standards
  • ability to read, analyze, and interpret food service industry periodicals
  • ability to understand standardized recipe formats
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members
  • ability to calculate food costs, menu pricing, discounts, percentages, inventory, labor standards, and volume
  • understanding of profit and loss statements and capital project presentation

Job Duties

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support achievement of company goals
  • support the Director in providing strategic intelligence on all food and beverage initiatives including vision, business planning, capital expansion, and branding
  • ensure superior standards of food service and quality that meet or exceed employee and guest expectations
  • maintain effective communication regarding operations, safety, and employee concerns
  • hire, train, and supervise food and beverage staff and create weekly schedules
  • recognize and celebrate team member success
  • manage cost of goods, labor, and general expenses of food and beverage operations
  • establish and manage purchase order programs, department checkbooks, contribution reports, and budgets
  • coordinate with Club Manager to create budgets and sales goals
  • execute budgets on daily, monthly, and annual bases
  • create operational reports as requested
  • oversee all food and beverage functions including corporate parties and weddings
  • maintain BSRG standards of excellence and stay updated with new products and market trends by attending culinary exhibitions and seminars
  • perform other duties as assigned
