Job Requirements

  • Meet state and federal minimum age for serving alcohol
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds
  • Must demonstrate initiative and sound judgment
  • Must maintain high work standards with attention to detail
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups
  • Must possess basic computational and budgetary skills
  • Willingness to work indoors, in kitchen environments, and outdoors
  • Ability to endure loud noise and variable terrain
  • Frequent hand washing required
  • Experience supervising a team of managers or equivalent
  • Prior food service industry experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Three to five years related hospitality experience preferred
  • One to three years experience in a supervisory role required
  • Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Knowledge of restaurant database software a plus
  • Familiarity with county regulations
  • Ability to understand and implement dining standards
  • Ability to analyze food service periodicals and standardized recipes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Competence in food cost calculations, menu pricing, and budget analysis
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, and time management skills
  • Capable of working under pressure and balancing priorities

Job Duties

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support company goals
  • Support the Director with strategic intelligence on all F&B initiatives including vision, business planning, and new experience development
  • Ensure superior standards of food service and quality
  • Maintain effective communication within the team regarding operations and safety
  • Hire, train, and supervise F&B staff
  • Create weekly schedules
  • Coach and encourage team members
  • Manage costs including goods, labor, and general expenses
  • Oversee purchase order programs, budgets, and financial reports
  • Coordinate with Club Manager on budget and business goals
  • Execute budgets on daily, monthly, and annual bases
  • Oversee all F&B functions such as corporate parties and weddings
  • Attend culinary exhibitions and educational seminars
  • Embrace continual improvement and market trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned
