Hotel del Coronado is an iconic and historic resort located on Coronado Island, just minutes from Downtown San Diego. Job Requirements
- Full-time availability including weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Minimum of 3 years experience in food and beverage management
- Experience working in a luxury hotel environment
- Ability to manage and lead a team
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations related to food and beverage
- Commitment to upholding company policies and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekend stayovers
Job Qualifications
- Prior management experience at a luxury hospitality property
- Experience managing within Union guidelines
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations and cost control
- Skilled in customer service and satisfaction evaluation
- Ability to analyze financial reports and make informed decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with scheduling and budgeting software
- Demonstrated adaptability and problem-solving capabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional hospitality or management education preferred
Job Duties
- Plan and direct all functions of the food and beverage department to meet daily operational needs
- Prepare, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for various food and beverage subdepartments
- Develop, implement, and monitor schedules for all food and beverage outlets to achieve profitability
- Participate in creation and marketing of menu designs to attract target customers
- Implement effective controls of food, beverage, and labor costs and monitor budget adherence
- Regularly review and respond to customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction, recommend operational and marketing policy changes
- Ensure compliance with Hilton policies and local, state and federal laws and regulations
- Hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline, counsel, and evaluate line employees
- Participate in annual budget development and financial planning
- Attend mandatory meetings and participate in Manager on Duty program
- Engage in community public relations efforts for the hotel
- Utilize computer equipment to analyze forecasts, cost, and revenue reports for decision making
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Demonstrate positive leadership to inspire team members to exceed standards
