Job Qualifications
- 2 years of food and beverage management experience in a luxury hotel required
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field, or 4-year college degree with 1 year related experience, or 2-year college degree with 2 or more years related experience
- Must have knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules, liquor laws and regulations
Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and employees
- Oversee all aspects of daily operation of the outlet
- Supervise outlet personnel
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
- Work with other food and beverage managers and keep them informed
- Keep immediate supervisor informed of issues
- Assist in coordinating and monitoring loss prevention
- Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
- Monitor quality of service in food and beverage outlets
- Assist in menu planning and preparation
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
- Ensure compliance with SOPs in all outlets
- Ensure compliance with requisition procedures
- Be visible on the floor and assist staff during meal periods
- Conduct staff performance reviews
- Implement and monitor corporate promotions in outlet
- Ensure training of employees on SOPs and job tasks
- Conduct departmental and hotel training
- Interview candidates for food and beverage positions
- Complete tip reporting
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Oversee private events and in-room dining
- Hold outlet personnel accountable
