Job Duties

  • Oversees the function of all food and beverage in the hotel to ensure excellent customer service and maximize revenue and profits
  • consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service
  • ensures service standards are followed while actively supporting the entire restaurant, bar, and kitchen team
  • handles guest concerns quickly and professionally
  • balances operational, administrative, and colleague needs
  • maximizes revenues by communicating with Food and Beverage teams to implement agreed strategies, practices, and promotions
  • manages the departmental budget
  • staffs and oversees execution of on-site events
  • develops and implements cost-saving and profit-enhancing measures
  • reviews and updates forecasts as needed
  • communicates with all departments to ensure customer service needs are met
  • works with corporate Food and Beverage leadership to develop and implement menus and make recommendations
  • manages interviewing, selecting, training, counseling, disciplining, and scheduling of all food and beverage team members
  • assures food and beverage quality, good service, and cleanliness are maintained
  • executes opening and closing duties efficiently
  • maintains inventory management and protocols
  • participates in the hotel Safety committee and ensures safety protocols
  • ensures all spaces are clean, well-maintained, and styled per standards
  • participates in daily and weekly inspections and manages follow-up actions
  • schedules all Food & Beverage front- and back-of-house staff
  • sends weekly email reports to management and attends management meetings
  • sends weekly email communications to staff
  • hosts regular department meetings
  • reviews, responds to, and distributes Food & Beverage-related emails
  • manages online reservation systems
  • conducts monthly inventories
  • handles Food & Beverage ordering
  • manages comps, discounts, tips, and related documentation
  • manages and submits social media content
  • performs other duties as assigned
